Description
A 72 year old male ex-smoker presented with a long standing history of hoarseness of voice. On indirect laryngoscopic examination a warty pale exophytic growth was seen on the right vocal cord. A 1.5 cm firm lymph node was palpable on the same side of the neck. The patient underwent direct laryngoscopy which showed the lesion involved the anterior 2/3 of the left cord and the anterior commissure, with a well defined margin (Figure 1). Histopathology confirmed the lesion to be a verrucous carcinoma.
