Description
One of the attractive features of the Internet is its skill in gathering information. Its ability to link an infinite number of sites lets you follow random lines of thought in a way never before afforded by other information technologies. When you consider the fact that these sites may be thousands of miles apart, you can almost hear this electronic brain humming! Figures put out by British Telecom earlier this year, suggest there are 40 million of us surfers out there worldwide. The analogy to a vast neural network with a myriad synapses is almost inevitable.
