Association of Otolaryngologists in Training The XIth Conference: September 4-6th 1998

Description

Dear Members,

Historically the AOT was a social gathering of the 40 or so senior registrars in the country where the forthcoming consultant jobs would be discussed over a few pints at the annual conference. We feel that the AOT must change to become more of a representative body looking after all trainees interests throughout their training period. This period lasts up to 9 years, 3 years as a career SHO and 6 as a specialist registrar and to date there seems to be little in the way of a mechanism for giving a voice to the concerns of ENT trainees. The AOT must fill this need.
