Author(s): J Ward, M Johnson & I Renwick

Description

Symptoms of gastric outlet obstruction can be distressing and difficult to palliate. The use of a self-expanding metallic gastric outlet stent in a 75 year old man with inoperable gastric outlet obstruction resulted in good palliation of his symptoms and significant weight gain. The use of gastric outlet stents in palliative medicine is discussed.
