Neurological complications of systemic cancer are common, occurring in about 25% of such patients. These consist of both metastatic and non-metastatic effects of malignancy. In an autopsy study of 2508 patients with non-CNS malignancies, Ambiavagar and Sher found 166 with meningeal metastases, two of whom had an associated subdural haematoma. One of these two had adenocarcinoma of the prostate. Dural metastasis or accompanying subdural haematoma is very rarely recognised clinically. We report two cases in which subdural haematoma occurred in association with metastatic prostate cancer.
