The editorial team would like to apologise for the lateness of this issue, which has occurred for reasons beyond our control. We will endeavour to ensure that all future issues arrive on time-February/March, June/July and October/November. This will be particularly important as the CME Bulletin in Palliative Medicine has been accepted for indexing in the EMBASE/Excerpta medica database. This is a very exciting development and hopefully will encourage a much greater number of spontaneous submissions. Would all authors and prospective authors please note that the deadline for articles is at least two months before the intended publication date and that we now require an abstract and key words for each article. We would also appreciate a few MCQs as well! Editorial policy remains that we are looking for fully referenced reviews on contemporary themes in Palliative Medicine that give a coherent overview of the subject matter and which hopefully might open avenues for new lines of enquiry. We would also like to receive case reports and personal opinion provided there is an educational message. All articles submitted will be considered.

We believe that we are the only journal in the speciality that provides material in this format. Your continued support is much valued but we would also be pleased to receive criticism, comments and suggestionsplease get writing!
