Description
There are now an increasing number of imaging modalities
available for the diagnosis of pulmonary emboli, including
radio-nuclide imaging, spiral computed tomography, pulmonary
angiography and magnetic resonance imaging. All have merits
and demerits, and there is now an appreciation that the most
appropriate technique may vary according to the clinical situation.
