Description
This article reviews the current options in corneal refractive surgery as it provides the majority of the refracting power of the eye and is the most accessible ocular tissue. A variety of methods (laser and surgery) have developed and evolved over the last 100 years to alter the eyes refractive status. No one technique corrects all types of refractive error, and patients with the most extremes of ametropia who would most benefit are still un-catered for.
