Description

Infliximab (antibody to tumour necrosis factor) has a growing place in the management of refractory and fistulating Crohn’s disease. Lymphoma has been associated with the use of other immunomodulatory drugs but far from unequivocally so when they are used in Crohn’s disease. A
case is described in which use of infliximab was followed by the early presentation of an Epstein-Barr virus-associated anaplastic lymphoma. The possible links between these phenomena are discussed.
