Again there has been a large contribution by trainees to the journal. Thank you to everybody! The sponsorship is really good news for trainees and I hope that many of you who didn’t bother signing up for it will again receive the journal. We believe that the journal has had some very good articles recently and we think that it has an important role in medical education of Gastroenterologists.

As Alastair wrote we have widened our spectrum of what we publish in this issue of the journal by printing a clinical audit. There is also for the first time an article on medical education in this issue. This is not a gastroenterology specific subject but we feel that in a journal of continuing medical education there is a place for articles that help gastroenterologists in their undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. We hope to meet the interests of many gastroenterologists with this article and hope for more on education by interested readers and future authors.
