Lucja Frey stands alone as a woman in the medical eponymous bibliography, she gives her name to the much observed auriculotemporal syndrome or gustatory sweating. This syndrome, described following parotid surgery or parotid trauma is well known to us but very few know the sad history of this Polish physiologist.
