Description
Changes in the anatomy and physiological properties of the kidneys occur with ageing, particularly after the age of 40. This review summarises our current understanding of the field of osmoregulation within clinical gerontology and gives guidance for the practitioner caring for frail elderly patients with compromised salt and water handling.
