Description
Primary lacrimal sac tumours are rare and can
often mimic symptoms and signs of dacryocystitis or dacryostenosis
leading to misdiagnosis. We report two cases of lacrimal sac
inverted papillomas where one initial diagnosis was dacryocystitis
and the other dacryostenosis. It is important not to miss
lacrimal sac tumours because of its propensity to spread directly
to neighbouring structures. Lacrimal sac inverted papillomas,
with reference to the paranasal sinuses, are discussed.
