Medical therapies are the key to successful treatment in the majority of women with urinary incontinence. This review article comprehensively discusses the whole spectrum of currently
available non-surgical therapies. Each treatment modality is described briefly and evaluated with a view to their relevance in clinical practice. A new clinically oriented classification of urinary incontinence is suggested by the author.
