Description
Virtually any computer can access the Web, all that is normally required is either a network card or modem (if accessed from home) and “Browser” software. The Web is an example of client/server technology where you are the “client” and the “server” is normally remote (often in another country). You request information using your Browser and it is delivered to you, the client, on your desktop. The two most popular Browsers are Microsoft’s “Internet Explorer”2 and Netscape’s “Navigator”3. Both programs can be downloaded from their respective Web sites.
