Description
In recent years there have been changes in the staging of non-small cell carcinoma, the histological classification of lung cancer and the introduction of minimum datasets for surgical reports. In addition, cellular pathologists have made increasing use of immunohistochemistry as an aid to the diagnosis of primary lung tumours. This article attempts to address these issues briefly in a practical way.
