Description
The skull, jaws and facial bones are the site of a number of unusual lesions which can cause problems in diagnosis if differences from long bones are not taken into account. In this review the common fibro-osseous lesions in the head and neck are reviewed and attention is drawn to the cemento-ossifying fibroma, a jaw lesion with several distinctive clinico-pathological variants.
