Description
There have been wide ranging developments within gynaecological pathology since the last CPD Bulletin to address the subject in 1998. We propose firstly to headline major developments which have altered diagnostic practice, impacted upon clinical management or improved our understanding of a particular disease process. Some of these developments will be expanded upon further by other authors in later articles in this Bulletin. We will then discuss in greater detail angiomyofibroblastoma and cellular angiofibroma of the vulva, uterine serous carcinoma, use of immunocytochemistry in diagnosis of ovarian mucinous tumours and the role of p57 (KiP2) in the diagnosis of molar pregnancy.
