Description
Cutaneous tumours are a diverse group, including rare tumours and rare variants of common tumours, often difficult to diagnose and subcategorise on morphological grounds alone. We highlight a small but effective immuno-panel including BerEP4 and EMA, of diagnostic value particularly in the setting of basal cell versus squamous cell tumours and in the differential diagnosis of basaloid adnexal tumours. The panel is most effective when interpreted in conjunction with the typical morphological features of the tumours.
