Description
An 84 year old man presented with parkinsonian symptoms and a 6 month history of decreasing mobility, confusion, urinary incontinence and hiccups. Past medical history included a schwannoma resected from his left arm. On examination he was parkinsonian, with cogwheel rigidity bilaterally and a festinating gait, but no tremor. He had a localized dystonia of his left hand, a positive grasp and palmermental ref lex, but planter ref lexes were f lexor. He had a postural fall in blood pressure of 15mmHg. His MMSE score was 28/30. He showed paucity of speech. He died 6 weeks later.
