Description
The periareolar approach to reduction mastopexy facilitates the correction of small to moderate breast ptosis or hypertrophy with minimal associated scarring. However, tension on the new areolar position may lead to distortion and unacceptable cosmesis. The Round Block technique described by Benelli reduces the risk of these complications. We describe the application of this surgery for a balancing procedure in a patient having previously undergone contralateral autologous latissimus dorsi reconstruction following mastectomy.
