Description
Statistics
Statistical analysis is an essential tool
in clinical biochemistry. However, the subject is poorly taught
and difficult to understand. The Rice Virtual Lab is a statistics
site which has an excellent on line statistical book. Difficult
concepts such as biomodal distribution and regression to the
mean are explained well. The effect of transformation (square
root or logarithm) on the distribution of data is well illustrated.
The site also has an analysis lab where one can enter and
analyse your own data.

This is a compilation of hundreds of links
to statistical sites by Prof J C Pezzallo, a professor of
pharmacology and biostatics. The sites are grouped into categories
such as interactive sites, free software, books and manuals,
demonstrations and tutorials etc. There are also links to
online statistics books, tutorials, downloadable software
and related resources. There are nearly 400 pages where you
can enter your data, analyse it and plot graphs which are
of publication quality. This site is well worth a visit if
you want to do any statistical analysis. Other links provide
information such as a glossary of statistical terms, random
number generation, power and sample size calculations, statistical
tables etc.
