Description

A 41 year old gentleman was brought to the
Accident and Emergency department by ambulance
in a collapsed state. Duration of loss of consciousness
was not available as there were no eyewitnesses but
the patient was conscious upon arrival of emergency
services.

Para medical staff who inspected him found that
he was conscious but had an obvious grey-bluish
appearance and pulse oximetry showed an oxygen
saturation of 84%. Due to these features he was
judged to be an urgent case and taken to the accident
and emergency department a priority.
