Description
Low grade B cell lymphoma is probably the most frequently encountered group of non-Hodgkins lymphoma in routine clinical practice. With advances in clinical management it is increasingl important to subclassify these lymphomas into their recognised pathological groups. Advances in the retrieval of antigens previousl masked by routine fixation and paraffin wax embedding and expansion of the panel of antibodies has resulted in the ability to identify the typical antigen profile of each lymphoma type in routinely processed surgical biopsy material. This article gives a brief summary of the anti-bodies that can be used in such a panel and the typical staining patterns of low grade B cell lymphomas.
