Abstract
It is perhaps surprising that there is so little literature on gram-negative folliculitis (GNF) considering its potential for mis-diagnosis with acne vulgaris not responding to conventional treatment. It is important to be aware of the condition as a clinical entity in its own right, to understand why and how it may present, and be able to successfully diagnose and treat the condition if prolonged illness and subsequent severe scarring are to be avoided.
