Description
I bid you a fond farewell with this issue.
Having been present at the birth of the journal, and watched over it through toddlerhood, the time has come for me to pass it on to a new and invigorated editor. It has first and foremost been a learning experience – it is quite daunting how broad-based and all encompassing radiology now is and therefore all the more difficult to keep even moderately well informed. It has been a pleasure to read the latest on a myriad of topics from expert authors, and it is amazing how much I have learnt from reading the proofs!
I hope I leave you with a bumper issue, with something for everyone. I know that my own practice will be influenced by several things that I have read, and I suppose that is the whole point of CME. One of the striking changes that is taking place is the use of imaging to rule out possible abnormality, and the logical extension of this is disease screening. The very latest thoughts on screening for lung cancer, together with useful algorithms are included in this issue, as well as overviews of uterine and skull base imaging, and MRCP. The new interventional technique of vertebroplasty is described, and if that is not enough, the secrets of seven day working are revealed.
I hope that you enjoy this issue, and learn as much from it as I did from the proofs.
