Abstract
Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) is the second most common type of degenerative dementia after Alzheimer’s disease (AD). A clinical diagnosis is made on the basis of probabilities considering symptoms, investigations and neuropsychological tests. It has pathological and clinical features common to both AD and Parkinson’s disease. Despite this a distinctive picture is emerging that strongly points toward a diagnosis of DLB.
