Description
A 36 year old ex smoker presents for inguinal hernia repair. He says he is fit, although he gets short of breath on climbing stairs and had to stop playing football last year. He is thin and appears mildly short of breath having just walked to his bed, but is not wheezy. His ECG, CXR and spirometry are also shown, Figures 1-3. He was seen in the chest clinic recently and a CT scan of his chest was performed (Figure 4)
