This is a case report of a lady with a facial swelling who had several piercings hat could not be removed prior to radiographic exposure. It is of interest to general dental practitioners as it highlights he need for removal of foreign bodies prior to dental imaging, and he role of he dental practitioner in counselling patients against permanent facial piercings.
