Description
Deep inside all urologists there is a fascination with falling water. Subconsciously it may be why they took up the specialty in the first place! Not only urologists feel the lure of waterfalls; their appeal is universal. Practically every piece of promotional literature for tourists describing the attractions of a hilly part of the country will include one or two waterfalls in the list of sites to visit. Yet there is no book along the lines of a ‘Good Waterfall Guide’ to the waterfalls of England. There are books on Welsh and Scottish waterfalls, both out of print, and the Scottish one describes nearly seven hundred of the better ones! My first retirement project is to correct the balance, compile a guidebook to English waterfalls and in the process get myself out into some of the most beautiful parts of the country. (If you have any waterfall information, however trivial, I would be very pleased to hear from you.)
