Description

Stroke is the third commonest cause of death and the commonest cause of disability in the United Kingdom. Over 300 000 people live with the effects of stroke in t is country alone and various movement disorders, although  uncommon, have been documented in association with stroke. The presence of such problems may hinder the rehabilitation of affected patients, so early recognition, assessment and treatment is important in stroke associated movement disorders.
