Description
On-going follow-up care has always been a fundamental component of any good Geriatric Service. The new emphasis on Intermediate Care should be welcomed, and despite some expected teething troubles and hiccoughs, should be allowed to develop successfully as an integral part of a comprehensive Geriatric Service. Otherwise intermediate care will end up as mediated neglect!
