Description

Prior to breast cancer screening most breast biopsies were excision biopsies with benign conditions providing pathologists with a significant proportion of their workload. Systematic breast screening has reversed this situation so that proportionately fewer benign breast conditions are now seen in routine practice, a situation which has significant implications for trainee pathologists.
