An unusual presentation of a retained orbital foreign body

Description

We present an interesting case of a retained orbital glass foreign body that spontaneously extruded, twenty-five years following the initial trauma. X-rays did not show the actual extent of the foreign body. Exploration of the wound at the time of surgical removal showed it to be a 0.9cm x 0,7cm glass splinter.
