Description
The birth of a child with uncertain gender is extremely
distressing for the family and in some cases life-threatening
for the child. Urgent investigations are required depending
upon the genotype. Care should be taken in selection of assay
methods as well as interpretation against appropriate reference
ranges which can change even during the neonatal period.
