Description
There is a clinical desire to create dental prostheses whose appearance both satisfies the patient’s wish for aesthetic acceptability while enhancing individuals’ character by incorporating complimentary, naturalistic features. Do edentulous patients perceive complete denture aesthetics in this context and can patients identify chronologic and sexual characteristics of denture appearance. This study examined the preferences of 50 edentulous patients attending for prosthetic treatment for inclusion in aspects of aesthetic decision-making. Their awareness of artificial tooth selection and arrangement commensurate to the characteristics of sex and age incorporated in denture aesthetics was also evaluated.
