Description
Simulation is the reproduction of various aspects of a situation, object or task with the aim of inducing an individual to regard them as real. The aims of training simulations are superficially very simple. If subjects are trained to perform a task or series of tasks on a simulator, then they are able, in theory at least, to move out into the real world and do the job for which they have been trained with no “real world” experience. This ideal has been achieved in aviation to some extent in commercial aviation where airline pilots can fly an airliner for the first time on a commercial flight, with a full load of passengers, never having had any “practice runs” in that aircraft.
