Description
Discussion of single visit treatment at endodontic meetings is always contentious. In this article the advantages and disadvantages are reviewed, considering in particular where single visit treatment may be either definitely indicated or contraindicated. The relevant recent literature is reviewed and discussed. It is concluded that single visit root canal treatment is safe and effective for all vital and many non-vital teeth.
