Description

The CPD Infection, along with other journals in this series, is now indexed in EMBASE/Excerpta Medica. All articles will then be accessible via a literature search and submission of articles for publication might be improved. However, indexing enforces some changes. All articles and case reports submitted have to have an abstract of no more than 120 words and a maximum of 5 keywords.

From January 2000 CPD Infection will become a subscription based journal. We hope that many of you will be prepared to run the expense of a subscription to maintain a relatively painless and useful form of CME/CPD. We feel a total of 5 – 6 CPD credits per issue represents excellent value for money. As a result of the mandatory nature of CME/CPD, coupled with Clinical governance requirements, these sequences are now tax deductible. A subscription form is available for your use on page 77.

In some regions, the Clinical Tutor or Director of Medical Education will reimburse the subscription or the marking of the MCQs. An increasing number of Specialist Training Committees across many of the specialty CME/CPD titles published by Rila, accept CPD Infection as a justified study leave expense for specialist registrars.
The publication will also be available on the Internet from March 2000.
