The more alert of you will have noticed that it is some time since you last received a copy of the CME Journal Geriatric Medicine, for which my sincere apologies. You will also note that this volume is over represented by The Scanner. I am most grateful to those who have contributed to this volume of the journal BUT must encourage others to consider submitting review articles to YOUR CME Journal, if it is to remain of value to you. I appreciate that all of us are under increasing pressure to deliver clinical services but equally we need to maintain our CPD and this journal can help you achieve this.

Perhaps all our SpRs should be encouraged by their educational supervisors to contribute one review article to the journal, co-authored with a consultant expert during their Specialty training. Surely, this is not a big ask of any of you and will help to enhance the trainees expertise and knowledge. Specialty Trainees working with me are expected to either do this or provide 10 Best of Five MCQs for the DGM!
