Description

Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma of the breast is a rare neoplasm and
is usually treated by surgical excision with curative intent. If a
patient develops metastasis or the disease recurs cure is unusual
and the aim treatment is usually palliative. Because of the rare
nature of this malignancy the optimal management of these
patients is uncertain and the current evidence to guide treatment
consists of small case series and case reports. In this paper we
report on a case of pulmonary metastasis from ACC of the
breast successfully treated with surgery and radiotherapy.
