Description
Urinary incontinence (UI) is a major clinical
problem. It has a great social, economical and
psychological impact. With the new
pharmacotherapy to treat UI, targeted life style
changes and conservative measures, many patients
could be treated at the primary health services
reducing the workload on the specialist referral
centres. Primary care practitioners armed with
evidenced based knowledge of new treatments and
recently validated old treatments could realistically
achieve this goal.
